About me...
In 2025 I relocated my violin studio from Huntsville /Madison Alabama to Arley, Alabama. From 2010-2024 I taught full time from my private studio in the Madison /Huntsville area. From 2004-2010 I served on the faculty of the Symphony School of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra where I taught private and group lessons, as well as trained and supervised new teaching faculty for the educational outreach program. I love teaching all ages (3-103!) I enjoy being active in the community playing in area ensembles, in church groups, in schools and at special events. I graduated from Colorado State University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and a double emphasis in violin and voice. As a violin teacher, I am able to combine my training, skill and experience as a performing artist and teacher with my experience as a professional Music Therapist. This helps me provide a unique learning environment for my students. I am a registered Suzuki teacher which means I have trained with nationally recognized Suzuki pedagogues to learn the philosophy and technical aspects of the Suzuki method of Talent Education. (To find out more about the Suzuki Method click on the link to the left). I believe every student has the potential to learn and develop musical skill. I strive to create a positive and nurturing learning environment while encouraging students to achieve their highest potential. My goal is to help develop skilled musicians with great personal character.
